JosephsGarden's Spinach Care Instructions
Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 3.12 inches (8.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.49 inches (1.25 cm) if planning to sow direct.
Spinach normally tends to reach to a mature height of 60.0 cm [imperial: 1.95 feet] so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
Your garden has full sun light which is ideal for Spinach.
Try to apply water fairly sparingly.
Your garden's USDA Hardiness Zone (5a) is not within the ideal known range for Spinach. The recommended range is between Zone 6 and 9. You may have to reassess this planting for suitability in your garden.
Spinach tends to grow best in a soil ph of between 6.0 and 7.0 meaning it does best in acidic to neutral soil.
Common Spinach problems include Slugs, Leafminers, Flea beetle, Beet leafhopper, and Aphids, so keep a close eye out for any developing symptoms.
