If you would like to sow this plant directly, try 0.78 inches (2.0 cm) deep with a guideline distance of 2.60 feet (80.0 cm).

Tomato 'Beefsteak' normally tends to reach to a mature height of 1.82 metres [imperial: 5.92 feet] so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
