Wonderful tropical plant. Hardy here in Irvine. Hummingbirds, bees, and butterflies love this plant! Blooms from April-December. I prune this shrub hard in January (I butcher it as one would a fuschia or a hybrid tea rose) and it comes back better every year. It looks it’s best in September/October when other plants are suffering from the heat. Must water this plant from underneath and in the evening because the leaves will fry up if they are wet in the sun!
