Seed Needs

Start basil herb seeds indoors near a sunny window 5 weeks before transplanting to the garden after danger of last frost. Or, sow in garden in full sun when frost danger is over and ground is warm. Basil Thai seed is treated with thiram which is a fungicide. Make shallow furrows and cover seed 1/8" with loose soil. Thin or transplant plants to 10" apart when they are 2 inches tall. Germinates in 5 – 10 days.
