I gathered these seeds from a garden just outside of Victoria, British Columbia. They grow into wonderful climbers. The blooms attract hummingbirds and then produce delicious beans to eat.

If sowing directly, aim to sow 1.95 inches (5.0 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 3.9 inches (10.0 cm).
Runner bean normally grows to a mature height of 40.0 cm (that's 1.30 feet imperial) so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
Remember to water moderately.
A soil ph of between 6.0 and 6.8 is ideal for Runner bean as it does best in acidic soil so test your soil acidity often.
