Warick's Beetroot 'Crimson Globe' x 1 Treating
Plant: Beetroot (Beta vulgaris) | Variety: Crimson Globe
- 2
- 1
This planting was grown from seed in a propagation tray and then once they were big enough to handle were planted out in their final position in the vegie garden. At the same time I inter-sown the seedlings with some leftover seeds to fill out the entire area. The bed was not prepared with any manure, it was forked over and raked level. Fingers crossed for another decent crop.

I made up a 1 Litre spray bottle of the the following ingredients:
1 Teaspoon of Bi Carbonate of Soda
1-2 drops of dishwashing liquid
1/2 Teaspoon of Vegetable Oil
Filled the spray bottle with water and gave it a good shake then I spray the upper and undersides of the leaves to drip point every three weeks. Give it a try, it works a treat and you’ll never have to buy nasty fungicides from the shops ever again.
Happy Gardening!!!
