Can I ask you a couple of questions regarding this lily?
I planted Le Reve several years ago… actually, I ordered it twice… and I just loved it. I wanted more so last year, I ordered it again, for a third time. But the bulbs that grew last year were NOT the same as the ones I originally ordered. They were spotted, much like yours. And they were dwarf. Are yours dwarf? The Le Reve I originally purchased grew 3 or 3 1/2 feet tall and had no spotting whatsoever. Obviously, both lots cannot be Le Reve. I’m just wondering if one is or maybe neither.
Thanks.

I’m thinking I bought my first batch of LeReve maybe 4-5 years ago and like you I bought a few more a year or so later— but they all look like the one in my picture, and are maybe 3-3 1/2’ high. I have no idea where I got either batch from. I also checked davesgarden.com and those pics all have the spots! Did you buy yours from two different vendors? Maybe the first vendor was mixed up!

No, all three lots were bought from the same catalogue HOWEVER, this particular source is somewhat known for sending the wrong stuff. If you order a lily, you’ll get a lily but it might not be the lily you ordered. I suspect the problem is their supplier but who knows. One year I ordered three hybrid tea roses from them. Two were correct. The third was a rose all right but not even a hybrid tea. I don’t know what it is! It’s red.
