misskittin's Garlic "Chesnok Wight" x 8 Harvesting
This was an absolute winner last year… So makes it into the wish list again for 2012
June harvest, , white skinned bulbs with rich black veins on the outside and 6-10 purple cloves inside.
More productive type than Moldovan. Origin in the Ukraine, around Kiev. Spicy heat close to Moldovan intensity.
Keeps until January
Once again, I’ve realised that I’ll have to resort to containers, if I don’t want a raised bed full of Garlic and nothing else.
This year I’ve tried a deeper trough, and have spaced the cloves a generous 5 inches apart, rather than trying to cram
them in closer. I suspect I’ll have to be rather more diligent about watering (and feeding) than I was last year, too!

Less complex than some, but did spectacularly well in containers (although, of course, bulb size suffers). Slightly spicy, but mostly just garlicky. Reliable in wet seasons, and can stand in the gound
