Biggest problem with this is that it is not growing where I would have planted it. The spot that it is in is along the edge of the veggie garden that I have earmarked for cane fruits.
After its extensive pruning, we’ll see how it goes, but with all the foliage high up on the tree rather than round the bottom I’m prepared to contemplate letting it stay.

we have taken about half a wheelie bin of material off of it, all the lower branches to lift it up a bit, and then some serious thinning out
