Jas and I saw this in the herb section at Bokay nursery in Salinas. We’d never seen anything like it and we had to have it. We didn’t recognize the name on the tag, Ocimum x citriodorum pesto perpetuo, but it smelled like basil and, other than the variegated part, the leaves looked a lot like basil too. It was beautiful and best of all, you can cook with it! We had to get it to add to our herb garden at home. ;)
