Bleeding heart normally grows to a mature height of 90.0 cm (that's 2.93 feet imperial) so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.

The blooming day picture is from the one I have in my new house, a division from the one in the big picture, which is still at the old house. Those lovely blue flowers are Virginia blue bells. They are totally cool, and freaky because they are ephemeral! There is so much flower in April, and then, by June…nothing to show they were ever there! I have such a small garden here, I am only allowing myself to pick up 2 perennial flowers per year, except for replacements. This year, I need to add some late summer color, so I picked up an anemone and a ratibidia. Next year, I hope to get the bluebells for that spring punch of color.
