TheLibra's Two Aloe Vera Plants

The Aloe Vera plants aren’t doing nearly as well as the Agave Americana, which is odd. I expected them to do much better. However, for the most part, they’ve turned a very dark green, almost brown, and seem to have lost several of their stems. Hopefully this is nothing more than planter’s shock. If anyone has an idea as to what happened, It’s planted in compost, surrounded by peat, and mulched by lawn clippings.
