At first we took the description “Looks great near water” too enthusiastically and sat it IN the water, but now it is NEAR the pond. Is the gardener’s corollary to the old “hammer” rule, “When you have a new water garden everything you buy goes into the water?”

Sadly it is not looking well. We seem to have reversed the aphid infestation, but was it too late? We’ll put it in the ground near the pond.
