Meighan's Watermelon x 1

Plant: Watermelon (Citrullus lanatus) | 0 | Very Happy

This planting has been archived (Other)

I planted melons this year from seed but they all died during the cold spring we had here. I was all jealous when I saw Renee’s Watermelons! That same day I stopped at a nursery to pick up some more potting soil and found a big watermelon seedling in a 1 gallon pot for $3… so of course I bought it!! In an attempt to keep it warm (and also because I have no space left in the ground) I’ve put it in a 20 gallon pot… hopefully that’s big enough for it. I put black mulch on the soil as well to keep moisture in and temperature up. I’m crossing my fingers, hoping it’s not too late in the season to get a melon or two!
