I grew this plant many years ago. I enjoy the taste and look of this plant. The blooms are an amazing star-shape. I love it.

It’s kind of a bitter-sweet story, actually. When I first grew this plant years ago, it got nice and huge and and eventually, it started to die off. When I went to take it out, I grabbed a hold of the huge flower stalk (I swear that thing was THICK!) and pulled it out. The flower stalk broke at the end. Surprisingly, I think the flower stem, itself, was hallow. Suddenly this HUGE queen of all earwigs came out!! Omg I screamed and jumped back. I’d never seen one THAT big before… and believe me, I’ve lived in the country. I’ve seen all kinds of things.

Anyways, after telling Jas that story, he still wanted to get the borage plant to put in his garden. I smiled and said “Good luck!”. lol
