xan's Creeping thyme x 1

Plant: Creeping Thyme (Thymus praecox ssp. arcticus) | 3 | Very Happy

This plant should not have been hardy in my zone, and yet it actually lived right through a very cold winter, staying green the whole time and has come back with a vengeance. I suspect its proximity to the heated pond (roots are right up against the liner) are the reason for this. This plant needs a “deliriously happy” happiness index.

It looks great around the water feature! My Creeping Thyme has survived several winters in Maine, so it think it’s a keeper.

@ 7thswan—It’s the top of a cheap birdbath scrounged from some alley. We’re trying to figure out a way to make it a fountain, but the water keeps catching on the underside and draining right out of the pond.
