Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.12 inches (0.3 cm) if planning to sow direct.
Basil normally grows to a mature height of 45.0 cm (that's 1.46 feet imperial) so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
Remember to water moderately.
Basil tends to grow best in a soil ph of between 6.0 and 7.5 meaning it does best in acidic to alkaline soil.
