grainoftruth's Phormium

Plant: New Zealand Flax (Phormium tenax) | 0 | Unhappy

Just transplanted this from a large pot at the front of the house to the rear garden. It wasn’t doing very well at the front – possibly not enough sun and warmth. We’ve had it for about 5 years and it has never produced a flower spike. Also the leaves were looking quite yellow.

We took the decision to move it to the back garden to allow it a bit more sun and warmth. It now sits just under one side of the plum tree in full sunlight and hopefully it will establish itself and produce some flowers. If not this year, then next???
