Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 0.5 inches (1.27 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.12 inches (0.3 cm) if planning to sow direct.
Basil 'Sweet' normally grows to a mature height of 50.0 cm (that's 1.62 feet imperial) so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.

This was the most vigorous basil I’ve ever had, though that’s not saying much as sweet basil and I don’t get along all that well. Still, it’s good to know that growing it from seed is worth it. The taste was exemplary.

Starter garden > Herb garden These basil plants are so tiny still. We’ll see if being in sunshine (what we have of it) and a warm pot helps them along.
