I sowed three seeds per pot (eight pots). One pot got dropped, which probably didn’t help, but I ended up with 7 seedlings from the 24 seeds.

Lovage normally grows to a mature height of 1.00 metres (that's 3.25 feet imperial) so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
Your garden has don't know light - try to position in a partial sun location instead.
Remember to water moderately.
Your garden's USDA Hardiness Zone (8) is not within the ideal known range for Lovage. The recommended range is between Zone 3 and 7. You may have to reassess this planting for suitability in your garden.
A soil ph of between 6.1 and 7.8 is ideal for Lovage as it does best in acidic to alkaline soil so test your soil acidity often.
