misskittin's Artichoke "Violetto di chioggia" x 6 Under Attack
Plant: Globe artichoke (Cynara scolymus) | Variety: Violetta di chioggia
- 2
- 1
This is the second attempt: Of 6 planted last time, only 1 germinated (although I have to say it’s looking rather happy)
I’ve pre-soaked 3 of the seeds to see if that’s what went wrong last time
29/03/11: 2 have germinated, one each of the soaked and non-soaked. Boy, do they need the compost to be wet!
03/04/11: 4/6 up. The ones that haven’t germinated (yet!) were unsoaked

Yes… It would’ve been! The ones that finally germinated all got decimated by slugs!
