Thanks Greerish for id. It needs bright, bright light but it cannot withstand zone 8 full sun without scourching so it sits under the awning on the south side of the house where it gets full light but not direct sun and it’s water when completely dry.

Gardenerd's Cactus 'Blue Myrtle' Care Instructions
Whortleberry cactus normally grows to a mature height of 4.50 metres (that's 14.62 feet imperial) so ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant.
Try to apply water fairly sparingly.
Your garden's USDA Hardiness Zone (8a) is not within the ideal known range for Whortleberry cactus. The recommended range is between Zone 9 and 11. You may have to reassess this planting for suitability in your garden.
