“One of Heronswoods’ best introductions and a shade garden avatar. The has incredible mahogany purple new growth which turns purplish-green as the summer progresses. Green/white flowers hang from the tops followed by a small black fruit. The new growth starts as bamboo-like shoots and easily reaches 4-5’ high in rich moist soil. Hardy z5.
