These are in a big blue ceramic container which I’ve tried out with different things in the last 10years, mostly seasonal plantings. What I would really love to grow in it is an Acer but fear the cold winds will be too much for it, even though there is shelter from 3 sides. French lavenders often make it through the winter only to be killed by spring frosts.
