More “damp paper towel and a plastic bag” action
16/03/11: Just noticed that one of the original Fatalli’s has germinated! At Day 61!
Total of 2/6 of the V2 germinated, plus the tardy little V1! (1/6)
Ended up with 2 plants… healthy, but very slow growing… Took an age to flower, and then promptly started to drop them. irritatingly, the little fruit that had started to set are also dropping! As of today (20/08/11) I am entirely “Fatalii-less”: Bugger!
Oh Well… Here’s to over-wintering for a head start next year
November 2011: I lightly pruned these to encourage ripening of the few fruit that set… They seem relatively happy as they are, and are starting to show signs of sprouting again, so I’ll leave them as they are

misskittin's Chilli "Fatalii (v2)" Care Instructions
Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 1.95 inches (5.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.2 inches (0.5 cm) if planning to sow direct.
Ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant - Chinese pepper 'Fatalii' is known for growing to a height of approximately 45.72 cm (that's 1.49 feet in imperial).
Your garden has full sun light which is ideal for Chinese pepper 'Fatalii'.
Remember to water moderately.
Your garden's USDA Hardiness Zone (8b) is within the ideal range for Chinese pepper 'Fatalii'. The recommended range is between Zone 5 and 12.
Chinese pepper 'Fatalii' ideally needs a soil ph of 7.0 to 8.5 (neutral to alkaline soil), so check your soil acidity regularily.
Chinese pepper problems include Tobacco Etch Virus, so keep a close eye out for any developing symptoms.
