This plant was purchased more than a year ago. I did not transplant it for a long long time and thought it was dead. Earlier on this month, I decided to transplant the twig and was surprise that it is still alive.

They never look all that inspiring when they are young. Some one else here made a similar observation, the one I planted was very forgettable (as proof – I think it’s still growing?)

;-) Never tasted the berry. Would be interesting. Must be a hardy plant for taking such terrible neglect from me. Felt bad thinking of the mis-treatment. Much so when the twigs sprouted leafs when I thought it was already dead.
My late Aunt would admonish anyone who did not take care of their plants. She would comment about such cruelty as though the plant has a nervous systems much like an animal. Reflecting on her words, it seems that she does have a point. Even though lacking a nervous system, they are living organism that has such tenacity to survive. I need to treat them with much care and respect. ;-)
I shall endeavour to be considerate to all those plants who crosses my path! Although, I must say, the sentiments is not the same as far as weed is concern.
