Ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant - Russian comfrey 'Bocking 14' is known for growing to a height of approximately 60.0 cm (that's 1.95 feet in imperial).

Your garden has don't know light - try to position in a partial sun location instead.

Your garden has none soil: try to position in a sand soil for the best result.

Remember to water moderately.

    I love the balance beams, come the Apocalypse they’ll still be working. ;-) You just can’t beat good old fashioned weights and levers for consistent, unarguable results. And if someone wants to argue then the weight at the and, and hooks at the other are reminiscent of a medieval mace!

    I was a bad boy and stopped recording the last load, I intend to do better this time around. A wild guess would be 20 – 40 litres of liquid that could be diluted 1:10 (9 parts water, 1 part comfrey tea) or 1:20 in the very early stages of the process. It’s a bit hard to pin it down because I found that when the column starts to empty, condensation drips down the internal walls and dilutes the mix, it probably happens full or empty but with nothing inside the air can change out fairly quickly. I worked that one out when the tea became weak but still flowed strongly in its final stages, I hadn’t struck the fountain of plenty after all!
