Rooted 36 cuttings in two 18-egg styrofoam egg-carton bottoms and floated them in an aquarium filled with water made from boiling willow bark. It took about 8 days and all had very bushy roots develop. Today I potted them in 2″×3″ multi-cell trays. All the cuttings came from one plant.

hotwired's Rosemary from Cuttings Care Instructions
Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 0.98 inches (2.5 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.23 inches (0.6 cm) if planning to sow direct.
Ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant - Rosemary is known for growing to a height of approximately 1.00 metres (that's 3.25 feet in imperial).
Your garden has don't know light - a full sun position will ensure your plant thrives.
Try to apply water fairly sparingly.

so, what’s up with the willow bark tea? does it help the cuttings root? I thought willow bark was only good for making asprin-ish tea

The active ingredients in commercial rooting compounds are 1% indole-3 butyric acid (IBA) and 0.5% Napthalene acetic acid (NAA) in an alcohol solvent. The indole-3 butyric acid is synthetically produced. Willow bark contains high concentrations of indole-3 butyric acid (non-synthetic) in the bark, with exceptionally high concentration in the tips of branches. My grandfather used to say you can grow roots on a chair leg with willow tea.
I’m doing a tutorial on rooting. I’m waiting for some roots to show for a photo, plus I got sidetracked getting a hoop-house built. Hopefully early next week.
