this grows in the rockery next to the driveway with the rhodies. It looks rather out of place, but is vigorous and undemanding. It is exceptionally attractive to hoverflies.

Ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant - Japanese aralia is known for growing to a height of approximately 3.65 metres (that's 11.86 feet in imperial).

Your garden has partial sun light - try to position in a dappled sun location instead.

Remember to water moderately.

Your garden's USDA Hardiness Zone (8b) is within the ideal range for Japanese aralia. The recommended range is between Zone 8 and 10.

A soil ph of between 5.5 and 8.0 is ideal for Japanese aralia as it does best in acidic to alkaline soil so test your soil acidity often.
