Well the potting on worked wonders for 3 out of the original 6 (and killed the other 3!)
may 20th: Well after the “Squirrel Situation” I can confirm that Cayenne pepper seems to work, and White pepper doesn’t! Oh well, you live and learn

Try for a seed spacing of at approx. 11.7 inches (30.0 cm) and sow at a depth of around 0.0 inches (0.0 cm) if planning to sow direct.
Ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant - Strawberry is known for growing to a height of approximately 20.0 cm (that's 7.8 inches in imperial).
Your garden has dappled sun light - try to position in a full sun location instead.
Remember to water often.
Your garden's USDA Hardiness Zone (8b) is within the ideal range for Strawberry. The recommended range is between Zone 3 and 10.
A soil ph of between 5.5 and 7.5 is ideal for Strawberry as it does best in acidic to alkaline soil so test your soil acidity often.
Strawberry tends to be susceptible to Verticillium Wilt and Tomato ringspot virus so keep a note of any developing symptoms.
