If sowing directly, sow at a depth of approx. 0.23 inches (0.6 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 1.95 inches (5.0 cm) between French marigold plants.
Ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant - French marigold is known for growing to a height of approximately 15.0 cm (that's 5.85 inches in imperial).
Your garden has full sun light which is ideal for French marigold.
Remember to water moderately.

Again, Looks like a Tagetes patula to me: French Marigold. (I don’t bother with “cultivars” for marigolds. I just pull the spent flowers, twist ‘em in my fingers and reseed. You’ll never buy marigolds again.)

I bow to your expertise, hank. patula it is. I wish I knew cultivar names because I have more than one kind and if I’m going to save seed or trade seed, it would be helpful. Plants that reseed this easily have definitely been a blessing for me. A reward for being lazy!
