Nat has brought me this, Ukranian Horseradish Root! I soaked it for a couple of days, as it seemed to be a bit dry after its long journey and then put it in a deep pot. I may plant it in a permanent position when I have cleared the Smallholding at the end of the season, but it will be ok in the pot for now.
17.09.11 This has not done very much, and I think I may not have watered it enough

Ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant - Horseradish is known for growing to a height of approximately 60.0 cm (that's 1.95 feet in imperial).
Your garden has full sun light - try to position in a partial sun location instead.
Try to apply water fairly sparingly.
