This was my primary planting for potatoes, I ordered 3 lbs.
From the company’s website:
Butte has a very light tan brown russet skin and produces very high yields. It has up to 20% more protein than any other potato. Good as a general purpose potato including mashed potatoes and great as a baked potato. Shows resistance to late blight and common scab.

If sowing directly, sow at a depth of approx. 5.85 inches (15.0 cm) and aim for a distance of at least 11.7 inches (30.0 cm) between Potato plants.
Ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant - Potato 'Butte' is known for growing to a height of approximately 1.20 metres (that's 3.90 feet in imperial).
Your garden has full sun light - a partial sun position will ensure your plant thrives.
Remember to water moderately.
Your garden has neutral soil (7.0) which is not within the known ideal range for Potato 'Butte'. The recommended range is between pH 5.0 and 6.0 (acidic soil) - you may have to reassess the suitability of this plant for your garden.
Common Potato problems include Early Blight, so keep a close eye out for any developing symptoms.
