Seeing how my David Austin rose order was cancelled, I had a big, fat bare spot in my garden that would need attention. So, this morning I ran down to Longfellow’s Greenhouses yet again and picked up three ‘Carefree Celebration’ shrub rose bushes.
Although I love my cut-flower roses, I can’t deny these shrub roses do a wonderful job here in Maine. These are hardy to zone 4, and I know my ‘Knockout’ rose bushes have done very well.
I planted the three bushes behind my lavender bushes, which I think will give a lovely display behind the purple lavender flowers. Stay tuned for more pics!
