angrboda's Hostas

Bought these in 2006 – didn’t know about slugs. They got eaten up pretty badly – especially after we attached copper strips around the edge of the pots and trapped some of them inside. And in 2007, the slugs climbed up the walls and bypassed the pots via leaves. Terribly ugly.

They are doing wonderfully well this year, having copper strips from the beginning and we’re keeping them away from the walls.
