These came free with my order from Baker Creek. I actually hate cucumbers with a passion, but they were free and I decided to see if I could grow them in a container. If I’m successful, I’m sure I can find people to give the cucumbers to.

However, I offered a cucumber to an acquaintance the other day and she gave me a real ‘sideways’ look before confessing that she’d picked TWENTY cucumbers from the five plants in her polytunnel and was hoping to offload a couple onto me!
I USED to hate cucumbers but now I love them. And they are really rewarding to grow – you can almost watch them romping up their supports, can’t you?
