after pulling up the beets and carrots, i gave the dirt a good turning as deep and wide as i could without disturbing the neighbors too much. added some of the 5-5-5 fertilizer, mixed it up again and went to work. its been drizzling on and off all day, so the soil was nice and moist. pushed the beans a good inch into the soil and added a little extra water just in case the light rain wasn’t quite enough.
