Actually there are 2 kinds. Russell lupine hybrids (white), and the wilder looking blue ones. They bloom in June-July. I like the wildflower blue ones best. These reseed all over, and i leave the ones that are in places I like. After they bloom, by midsummer they look ratty and I cut them to the base.
