If sowing directly, aim to sow 0.78 inches (2.0 cm) deep and try to ensure a gap of at least 2.60 feet (80.0 cm).

I think I’m going to have to rethink my staking system, too. Apparently these can grow quite large!

Yah. The one that’s still going from last summer (in the side yard) climbed up and over the top of our 5’ tall trellises. It’s interesting…the ones I’ve gotten are a greenish-red color, not yellow-red like the link you posted. I’ll be curious to see what color yours turn out.
