Planted out in the pink area of the Lane in the wettest part towards the back
It is quite tall so best towards the back of a border but also does well in pots and tubs. I chose it to expand my collection of pharmaceutically interesting plants; valerian traditionally being used as a sedative.
It has pretty fern type foliage with clumps of pink and white flowers

Ensure you have enough space in your garden for this plant - Valerian is known for growing to a height of approximately 70.0 cm (that's 2.27 feet in imperial).
Valerian likes a position of partial sun light, which is a perfect fit for your garden.
Remember to water often.
