these grow super fast and big and really hold their own with no care. They are the first natives to bloom, but the flowers are nearly inconspicuous.
Not for a small garden.

too large for tame gardens, but excellent, fast growing shrub for habitat restoration in the western us. Early spring flowers are good for hummingbirds and small bitter fruit are eaten by birds
