Happibun's Big Aquilegia

Yesterday I found out that a friend of mine had died very suddenly from an illness. I had not seen her for a while, and I was stunned by the news. She leaves a devoted husband and three children, one of whom is disabled.

I decided to get this plant to commemorate her. I am hoping that it will cross fertilise with the other Aquilegia in my garden and that the large flowered traits will breed in to the line.

I planted in to the middle of Littlest’s scrabbling patch, because that was the only place with any room at all. I hope he does not mind too much, but it does compliment his purple pansies very well.
