Seed Swaps

Asparagus 'Viking'

I started two trays of asparagus with 40 cells each. Most of the cells have two seeds in them so I hope to have 80 asparagus plants in a few months.

This planting is in the Eastern Companion-Planted Vegetable garden.

Congrats on getting so far from seed. I am on my second year after starting with crowns and I think the wait is going to kill me.

@Cherokee_Motley It is a long wait when you start from seeds, but when I moved here I had no space to plant asparagus crowns so the “extra” year’s wait is not really an extra year. I have about 60 crowns from the one package of seed I bought for $2.99, so it has worked out well!
