jacqueline's Shasta Daisy

Plant: Shasta Daisy (Leucanthemum × superbum) | 2 |

Locally, we call this Ethel’s Daisy, as Ethel has been the source of most plantings in our street.

In a book that I got recently, it is referred to as Veldt Daisy.

Hey there Jacqueline, looks like what you are growing here is a white African daisy, also known as Cape daisy, or Cape marigold – a native of South Africa.

Thank you for stopping by and providing some more common names for the daisy that I have planted on the verge. I’m just beginning to note whether plants are naturalised, and a lot appear to be from South Africa.
