Mezneil Folia hiccups and pics at last!! 3 6
I have a face on Folia and a photo for one of my gardens… It’s a starting point at least. I’m not sure what happened with my last journal entry, maybe a tech sneezed :) I’m hoping to flesh out my little corner of this site very shortly so it feels more like home. I said ...

SneIrish Spring color Happy Bergenia cordifolia - Pig Squeak - 'Winterglut' Breaking Dormancy and Welcome garden
The plant is still sporting its winter colors, dark burgundy leaves. There are several leaves on one side that are blackened and dried. I pulled those off and it seems that the root underneath is fine.

SneIrish Bulb order received 1 Happy
The first part of my bulb order from the coop arrived today. It’s always exciting for me to get new bulbs. It’s a bit too early to plant them out just yet, maybe mid-October. But the anticipation of just what they will look like when they start blooming in the early spring goes on all...

Milwaukee’s “spring” went from 50-60F and damp to 80-90F and blazingly sunny in under a week. The plants, of course, are loving it. A quick run-down: + Put rosemary in an even bigger pot + Moved lemon balm and rosemary to the patio for the summer + Potted up all other herbs on ...

Katxena June 17 harvest 4 7 Tiny Farm garden , Dill in box Harvesting, Basil in long container Harvesting, Kale, Red Russian Harvesting...
I harvested a big mess of greens tonight. The plants have grown so much in the past week that many of them are too big for salad greens. So first I went all around the garden and cut all the leaves that are too big. I saved the mustards & the red Russian kale for tomorrow night’s din...

I HATE RABBITS. Phew. There. The verdict is in: it’s rabbits that have all but decimated my corn, bean, and melon seedlings. Rabbits are what have been neatly dissecting every single sunflower seedling at the soil line. Adorable little bunnies. And since I’ve never had any issue...

A nice 80-degree day (finally!) and quite a few more direct sown seeds have sprouted up. I also planted a flat of marigolds in between the tomatoes. Something is digging up and gnawing at everything but the tomatoes, meanwhile — bunnies, perhaps? A lot of the beans’ leaves are gone,...
