July 6, 2008 – the Rainbow Dianthus in full bloom. There are five distinct flower colors – white, white with maroon center circle, lavender, lavender with bright pink center circle, and bright dark pink. It has grown into a large mound and is about 18 inches at the tallest.

June 17, 2008 – starting to bloom. The clump has grown and spread quite a bit.

April 9, 2008 – The Seedlings survived the winter, and are growing strong.

There are now two different colors of the Dianthus in bloom. The first full flower was in full bloom on Oct 14. The flowers are deeply fringed – very pretty.

These were from my seed-starting project in early July 2007. I planted six seedlings in the center of Welcome on August 15, 2007.
