Yes, I know it sounds odd but, when I was sowing the seeds of this tomato, I noticed that some of the seeds were either extra-large or possibly two seeds stuck together. The latter was confirmed when as least three seedlings came up as pairs. Fortunately two or three haven’t yet germinated so I’m hoping I’ll have manageable numbers.

I have had this happen too, can’t remember the variety. It’s very hard to not grow ALL the seedlings, isn’t it? I tend to pass mine on to friends and we have an annual plant sale at the horticultural club each May and I grow some on and sell them there. I always seem to sow too much and can’t bear to throw any away.

Even if I sow a dozen seeds, I invariably end up with too many and give them away to friends. I can’t bear to throw them away either :-)

I’m trading my extras with folks at work this year. I was just thinking yesterday about how silly I am about the thinning out process and then promptly planted twice as many nasturtiums as I need….
