Today I dug over the water-repellent soil next to our water tank. Dug in some worm castings and compost, watered in some “Wettasoil” and planted 2 blue flowering Rosemary cuttings that I had struck, plus 3 pink flowering Rosemary plants. I have dug a trench around this small bed to retain water, but will need to add lots more organic matter, otherwise, water will run straight off.
