Today one of the three runs of Scarlet Emperor bean has been cleared and this weekend the rest will come down too. They have been very good in the end, after a slow start with the hot dry spell we had in spring.
The summer raspberries will now go in this bed and the beans will move to a new bed next year. These poor plants have been sat in pots for a year and a half now and I need to get them in very soon. The autumn ones from the same order were at last planted this summer and they have given a good crop aa things considered.
Frost is forcast for this weekend so summer is wella and truly over now.
