I think I must be losing it! Today as I was just walking by the outside of the fence, I spotted this long solid green thing hanging down near the bottom of the trellis. It couldn’t be… could it? Well, it was! Another Cucumber that had been hidden from plain view. I promise I will not whine about Cukes again. And this one was the biggest I have ever grown, looking HUGE to me. – 8 inches long (abt 20 cm) and almost 3 inches (abt 7.5 cm) across. It weighed in at 1.25 pounds (0.5 kg). Now I have thoroughly scrutinized the rest of the Cucumber vines and there are a few in varying sizes, no more ready to harvest yet. But this one will keep DH busy for a while!
Also picked the first two ‘Balcony Charm’ Tomatoes, five ‘Tiny Tim’ Tomatoes, a few more beans and two more strawberries. The bad news – I cannot get a squash to grow more than a couple inches long. They turn brown and fall off. =(
